YOUR STUDY LIFE AND PRAYER
Every man desire to succeed in whatever they lay their hands on whether good or evil. Education is an enlightenment or increase in knowledge, it is good to be educated because the benefits there in are numerous. Success is desired by all students but they must note one thing: Every good and perfect gifts including success in education comes from God (James 1:17).
It is plain as day and sadden to see many students relying only on their strength and wisdom for academic excellence and many of them are having poor results in their academics. You can perform excellently well in your academics on your own, but when God is included the success will be exceedingly great.
WHY DO I NEED TO PRAY AS A STUDENT?
1. IT IS GOD’S COMMAND (MATT 6:33)
It is God’s command for every man to seek His face before any other things including academics, God is ultimate, he shouldn’t be an option in our lives rather he should be the first and all about our lives. God cannot share his glory with anyone, you can’t have self glory for yourself when God’s glory should be manifested. God is interested in your academic life, so make him the first and not the last in your pursuit for academic success.
2. GETTING GUIDANCE IN TIMES OF STUDYING
(JER 33:3, PSA 32:8)
It is possible for the man’s thinking faculty to become blank of ideas in solving logical problems in academics, this is the time you don’t need to rely on just any information you can get but to seek God’s face for revelation. When you call on him for divine guidance, surely he will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you don’t know. You will have your problem solved when you turn it to God (1 Pet 5:7).
Can you communicate in simple English language?
3. HAVING AN EXCELLENCE SPIRIT (JAMES 1:5)
Like I stated in the beginning of this write up that every good and perfect gifts come from God, to have an excellence spirit i.e to be filled with wisdom, knowledge and understanding, you have to ask for it from God. Daniel and his friends had an excellence spirit because they were devoted to God even in prayers. Pray yourself to new version of yourself that will be fill with God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
4. OBTAINING MERCY AND GRACE (HEB 4:16)
Grace makes you outstanding among many, a life void of God’s grace will be void of honour and greatness. You need to seek God’s for grace to be outstanding among your peers in class and also to receive mercy and favour from God so that your tutors will treat you with great care because they will see the mighty hand of God upon your life.
5. WHEN THINGS GO WRONG (LUKE 18:1)
Man’s life cannot be free from facing challenges in life, but God is always there to help at all points in our lives. Trouble, trials and tribulations may arise in your academic life and you will feel like giving up, fainting or committing suicide, but instead of doing that you can turn to God and pray for strength to overcome the present situations and have victory.
Finally, don’t give the devil a chance in your academic life (Ephe 4:27), prayer is the key to success in your academic life, don’t joke with it and never stop praying.
